Had lunch with a dear friend yesterday. We ordered a plate of side dish which I found interesting.
It is minced pork and yam, with salted egg yolk. It is deep fried and in the shape of hard boiled egg. At first bite, it did not taste special. But as I slowly chewed it for the next few bites, the mix of soft yam and textured mince meat in the mouth was kind of special. When it came to the salted egg, the partial dry texture added more layered feel in the mouth. Of course, the crispy skin was quite pleasant for me as I like fried food.
