if you can’t look back on having given love and attention to your own family, what have you really accomplished?

This Saturday morning, my Mother In Law (MIL) and Husband are at the temple. My dear little girl is tearing as expected. She is so attached to my MIL that she’ll tear whenever MIL is not at home when she wakes up.

So, here I am wide awake, staying beside my girl who doesn’t want my company. These are times when I feel a bit hurt to be rejected by my own daughter. But I’m managing my emotions much better now compared to two years ago.

I am multitasking to numb my feelings; surfed the web for a nice quote on Family. Especially meaningful to me, as I am now in my search journey for motherhood-work-life-balance.

The quote I like:

No matter what you’ve done for yourself or for humanity, if you can’t look back on having given love and attention to your own family, what have you really accomplished?
