Last Sunday, my girlfriends and I had Hong Kong “dim sum” at a restaurant in Square2. We had branch so we were at the carpark and restaurant before the lunch crowd strolled in. It was a nice meal and a good catchup with the girls.
I caught up with a childhood friend yesterday. It was a two hour meet up as she is a super busy stay home mom with a helper and three kids. The last time we met was two years ago. I’m reminded of how we lost touch and later got back in touch, the organic way… Read More Friendships are lovely
I’m six months into my part time job. Time flies! I have lovely colleagues in the office, and yesterday, one of them treated me to beer over lunch. How cool can this part time job get right? Other times, I’ll get lunch treats, and coffee too from a young lady colleague. Bliss!
I’m rushing home as I compose this post. Got a call from home about my girl refusing to go to school and cried non-stop. I’m mentally tired just thinking about how best I should handle this. Apparently there is a class bully who went around pinching kids. I’m angry about being the only and default… Read More Nursery class bully
It must have been almost ten years since three of us last gathered. If I am not wrong, we last gathered at Chijmes. We had childish dreams and… Read More Three is a crowd
Starbucks has daily offer for the whole month of December. Today’s offer is 1-for-1 cheese cake. A dear colleague bought it and offered to us for sharing. 🙂 Here’s a photo of another lovely colleague enjoying the cheese-break we had. I am grateful she allowed me to put her photo on my blog.
I am thankful for the friends in my life and I appreciate them more as I age. 🙂 A friend, who has two kids like myself, and who was once my manager at a workplace (the youngest manager I had worked for so far) ordered a customized felt toy, Jup Jup. She saw the felt… Read More Jup Jup Felt Toy
Had lunch with a dear friend yesterday. We ordered a plate of side dish which I found interesting. It is minced pork and yam, with salted egg yolk. It is deep fried and in the shape of hard boiled egg. At first bite, it did not taste special. But as I slowly chewed it for… Read More Mince pork and yam, with salted egg york
It’s December! I’m loving the feeling. Cooling weather, Christmas gifts, gatherings, celebrating friendship, family ties, nice colours everywhere, beautifully decorated malls, lovely Christmas songs… It’s indeed a season to be jolly!
I don’t remember when I started liking Christmas. I’m not a Christian but I love this season. When I was in my secondary school days, I used lightbulb wire meant for decorating Christmas trees, to make an outline of a Christmas tree behind my room door held up by glue tapes. I loved to see… Read More I love Christmas
